Jonathan’s book on J. Carter was released late 2020, so he opted for a quick site-redesign from his publishing cognoscenti, and the new site can be viewed at the same address, JonathanAlter.com.

ARTMassagePDX.com

ARTMassagePDX.com

After setting up a social media network for Beth Paxson’s massage practice in 2012, and feeling constrained by the formats, and the limited text/graphics allowed, I developed a 5-6 page site, which we named “ART Massage PDX”, to brand her practice, apart from Equinox.

ART Massage PDX was the main site for Beth’s practice from 2013 to late 2019 and it  was updated regularly to better connect with, and serve her clientele and local community.

In 2020, ART Massage segued into PYC Massage for Beth’s massage practice, within Paxson Yoga Center, at 6840 S. Macadam Ave., Portland, OR  97219.   Unfortunately, the online booking feature of the old website, had to be retired, but it was replaced by attentive front desk staff, to help you schedule for your massage needs.

Astroclosets

In February, 2014, I embarked on a new, exciting website marketing and management project with a local entrepreneur who has designed a great new product for “sidewalk astronomers” around the world…the Astrocloset.

His site was designed by a local web-designer, who, in similar fashion to the Equinox site designer, used custom-designed code and features, which can seriously hamper the versatility and transferability of the site and its maintenance.

For your viewing and/or star-gazing pleasure, please visit Astroclosets.com!

S. Keller Legal Services

This is a site I prepared in Fall – 2013, for my own freelance legal services, and to also serve as a prototype, or sample for my Online Portfolio service, with reference to my Marketing site.

It is an efficient way for career-changers/job-searchers to present a variety of background information to prospective employers.  I have my resume, references, writing samples, project write-ups and a blog page for posting articles on various litigation support / discovery topics.

Equinox Acupuncture & Massage

Equinox Acupuncture & Massage is the four practitioner collective where Beth works, and the website for Equinox was developed in 2012 using WordPress, but was never updated over the first year.  I thought I could help in that regard, but I had not yet used WordPress (this was prior to moving ARTMassagePDX to WordPress.com), so I reproduced the EquinoxPDX WordPress site on Weebly, to compare functionalities. In anticipation of being given the reins, I learned to develop websites using WordPress.

The original Equinox site was built using a theme that is now apparently obsolete, so to remedy the site’s issues with regard to its appearance on smaller screens (iPhones, Androids, Tablets), I created two WordPress Demo sites with more flexible, responsive  themes.

A few months later, I was given responsibility for the website’s maintenance, and to try to remedy some formatting issues that had never been addressed, namely the left sidebar disappearing act, when viewed on smaller-screened devices.  The site’s initial design remained the same, but its functionality dramatically improved.  I was unable to work with the custom parent/child theme’s limitations when trying to address the sidebar matter, so the site has transitioned from WordPress.org to WordPress.com, and is now available for review.

Thanks for checking out my web-design work!  I hope we can work together to develop your web-presence!

Best,

Steve
